A Light…

Now that life has begun to settle down a bit, I have been able to find the inspiration to write again. I have been pushing my way through my YA novel and at last count had about 26,000 words typed up–which puts me at about a quarter of the way through. I also discovered this pretty nifty new app on my iPhone. It’s called Post-It Plus and what it does is organize your hand written post its onto a board on your phone through pictures. It makes it easy to carry around the various post it notes that are on my bedroom wall for when I need to reference them while writing elsewhere.

I had forgot how much I enjoyed writing about these characters until recently. I think my favorite character in this series is Henri. I love writing the scenes with him in them because i think that he has a lot to offer the story. He will ultimately have this underlying turmoil about him that will let you see a different side of him. My plan is to have the first few chapters of book two be from his point of view. of course, I am getting a little ahead of myself with planning that out. I need to get through this one first!

Every time I see my word count climbing higher, I get a little more excited and I see that proverbial light at the end of the tunnel shining a little brighter.

I leave you tonight with a quote:

“You’re allowed to scream, you’re allowed to cry, but do not give up!” –Unknown
